sketchy
OK...since there's been some interest in the floor plan and the county changes the requirements for the permits every time we go up there (translation: no permit yet), here's the original floorplan...but we've made a few changes since this plan...and a sketch of what it will look like (only the columns on the front porch will be a different style)

That looks very similiar to the floorplan I've picked out as my "dream" for someday! It's beautiful and I know you can't wait to get into it! Bummer about the permits, though...
Update: Just got off the phone with my builder. No permits. The guy in the permit office forgot to tell him that the engineer needed to do one more thing. Grrr...
poor Carroll...atleast I don't have to go through that....
Is this what building a house is usually like? I mean... everyone I've spoken with that has had their home built has said it takes FOREVER and they usually end up wishing they had just bought one already built. Of course you can't do that- since you have land that you want to build on. Well, I'm hoping that things go quickly for ya!
It will be be-au-tiful. Hang in there!
Just be glad you are getting this out of the way BEFORE you have a husband b/c besides money, building a house is the next biggest thing that causes divorcing. If you've ever tried even building a chicken cage with your husband you will see this is true. :) Yes I've had experience.
